There are lots of Catholic fiction novels and books available today. These have really become popular over the last few years and it’s not hard to see why. People love to read and catholic fiction is truly a popular genre. However, if you are new to this area and aren’t sure where to start, why not read on and find just a few novels to consider? You might be surprised with a few of the stories.

The King’s Prey – St. Dymphna of Ireland

Written by Susan Peek the King’s Prey – St. Dymphna of Ireland is quite an interesting read. The story is set hundreds of years ago and it focuses on a dangerous king who has lost his mind. The king’s daughter knows she is not safe so has led the castle knowing her father will do all he can to bring her back. To save her, estranged brothers must work together but there are many pitfalls and dangers along the way.

Someday

Someday is a wonderfully written and quite powerful story. At the Chisbrook Hall Girls boarding school all appears normal; there are lessons taking place and the usual teachings but everything changes one night. The girls are woken by the sound of a fire alarm but the real danger is lurking even closer and it’s far worse. It can get everyone thinking here and that’s why it’s quite a popular read to say the least.

Jacob of the Thundercloud

Young Jacob is a devote catholic who suddenly finds himself in ancient Egypt. Anyone who knows ancient Egypt will know being there isn’t good especially for Jacob as he holds his religion close to his heart. Again, this story centers very much on Christianity and it plays at the heartstrings. It’s quite an interesting read and that really makes this a perfect little addition to any reader’s collection.

The Holy Lance

The Holy Lance is set during the reign of Richard the Lion Heart. He approaches the English Templar Michael Fitz Alan; he must recover the Holy Lance, a mythical and thought to be lost relic. As Alan and his fellow templar’s set off in their quest they are faced with hordes of evil and it’s not easy to tell who friend and foe is. This is truly a great good and certainly one that will be welcomed in any collection.
